STORAGE ENGINEER,
based in Vilnius, Lithuania

The position of Storage Engineer is responsible for developing and delivering storage infrastructure for customers and providing an expert technical point of contact for vendors, architects, and developers, contributing to overall storage system infrastructure design and integration.

Main Responsibilities:
• Provide in-depth knowledge of platform software technologies or families of technologies.
• Work with the global teams to ensure the appropriate specification of the infrastructure required for development.
• Liaise with architects, project personnel, and other technology experts to design and deploy robust and supportable storage infrastructure deployments.
• Ensure the effective management and deployment of controls and risk mitigation strategies enterprise-wide for storage solutions.
• Perform technical evaluation of new hardware and platform software products to assess their suitability for deployment in the production environment.
• Create, document, and oversee storage infrastructure deployment standards for hardware and platform software.
• Install and configure hardware software products to agreed infrastructure standards, providing supporting documentation and effective handover to production operations.

Technical Requirements:

• SAN Network:
Brocade Data Center Fabric Manager (DCFM); Mcdata 6140; Mcdata 10K; Brocade 5300; Brocade DCX, using IR and Logical switch.
• Element managers:
Hitachi Device Manager; Hitachi Command Suite 7; Hitachi TuningManager.
• Storage Systems:
HDS USP; HDS USP_V; HDS VSP; HDS AMS1000; HDS AMS2500.
• NetApp Filer: FAS; V-series; MetroCluster.

Other Requirements:

•Strong analytic ability especially the ability to look at complex technical landscapes and recommend key business focused solutions.
•Capability to work in partnership with architecture to scope and understand the client’s requirements.
•Quality of mind that is strongly motivated and shows initiative to ‘get the job done’.
• Fluency in English.
•Team player and customer service driven.
